What is your least favorite errand? I mean, really think about this…I know we all have our least favorite chores (I have several; I hate making my bed, emptying the dishwasher, and scrubbing the bath tub), but what is your least favorite errand. I do not like going to the grocery store at all. I feel like it is a losing situation. I am destined to be in the check-out line with the item without the price, or the only line without a bagger. Sometimes I can beat the whole system and go either before work early in the morning (not fun to wake up even earlier on the weekday, but it is definitely the best time to go), or I go later in the evening during the week (after the pre-dinner shopping rush). No matter what I do, grocery shopping is still my least favorite errand.

My solution…I have a grocery shopping partner. We pick up our reusable grocery shopping bags and we go to his grocery store instead of the one close to my apartment. His store has a much better selection of food, and the produce always looks much fresher than my store. Also, they have pre-cut veggies and fruit that is a life-saver for people like me who live alone and are always in a rush. I know it may cost more money to buy it pre-cut, but if you’re busy and need to get dinner made in a flash, pre-cut veggies are worth the extra cost. We go up and down every aisle relatively quickly, and pick up everything we need. Then, as we wait in line we have each other to talk to, and the time practically flies by.
