Moving Means Organizing 10Sep12
Recently I moved into a new apartment. I am sure most of you know the joys of moving, so I promise I will spare you all of the details of moving day. However, I do want to share with you what I learned and some of the fun ways I have reorganized items to fit everything nicely into my new home.
Moving means organizing. I know you can all sympathize with me and the agonizing pain of having to redo everything just to make it all fit right in the new place. So, let me tell you about the largest purchase of my move: an Antique Black Five Shelf Book Case. I had so many small shelving units I really needed to consolidate and get one large item for everything. Having one large, centralized shelving unit has completely opened up the space in my new apartment.
Next I needed to figure out my jewelry situation, since my jewelry tends to be unorganized and all over the place. The Over the Door Mirror Armoire is my second favorite purchased item during my move. This is a multipurpose jewelry organizer that saves space. It can hold necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. The best part about it is that I was able to get rid of my old over the door hanging mirror because this has a mirror on the door! Basically, this Over Door Mirror Armoire has saved space on my wall and on my dresser.
Moving can be stressful, and so can coming up with a new organizational method. However, when moving we sometimes stumble upon items we may not have necessarily thought to use before. Now that we have them, we cannot seem to remember how we ever lived without them.
