I read the reviews and was glad to see that these were indeed unfinished, no stain, not even a polyurethane sealer. This was perfect for me I wanted to paint them to match my couch. The paint adhered nicely to the bare wood.

I put them under my couch to make getting up easier. So far they are supporting the weight and my "plopping" down.

Was so glad to discover Taylor Gifts has wood risers! I'd been price shopping for risers and had only found plastic ones that had mixed reviews mainly due to breakage. These risers are incredibly sturdy, totally made of wood. They work great on the sofa and the overstuffed chair which makes rising from them much easier for tall persons and those with medical disabilities.

The only problem I had putting them under the furniture was holding the piece of furniture while inserting the riser. Would have been much easier on me and my back if I'd had another person helping.

After my doctor advised me to raise the head of my bed, I looked everywhere for risers that would accommodate the size of the casters on a large bed. I did find one plastic set that was big enough, but like all the others I had seen, it was very unattractive. These wooden risers from Taylor Gifts are strong, large enough to accommodate larger bed legs or casters, and they are VERY attractive and well made. They'd be a good deal at any price, but they're a STEAL at Taylor's price!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

We first purchased the plastic risers that were supposed to be heavy duty. !!! When my dad sat on the edge of the bed the two legs on that side of the bed broke straight through the risers!! Yes, dad is 200 lbs., but it was only a twin bed we were using. Way under the weight they claimed to support. Ridiculous. We then purchased the wooden ones and they are great. I also got them for a guest room bed where the bed frame was an older, lower frame. Just the right amount of added height for ease of getting up and keeping the dust ruffle from dragging on the floor.

These were put under our primary bed. Husband is 6'2", so he doesn't have to sit so low. Makes great storage room underneath the bed. Look very nice.

This works really great if you only want a 3 1/2 inch rise or by a double set for 7 inches but what if you 8 inches high? Would be nicer if you could get other sizes as well.
