The product protects my stairs from dirt. I had to use a hairdryer to relax the plastic so that the plastic protectors would fit over the carpet on the stairs. Some of them needed to be tacked down about 4or 5 --total 16 protectors.

I purchased carpet stair protectors several years ago and these seemed to be the same ones with one difference. I had difficulty tacking these down because there were no pre-made holes along the top. It was necessary to remove them, make holes, and then install them. They definitely help prevent foot traffic from soiling the stairs.

These worked just great on our carpeted stairs. I have light colored berber carpeting on the stairs. This will help to keep them cleaner and prevent wear. I would recommend them. I wish they were a bit wider and longer though for our stairs.

Carpeted stair casing, smaller than I've had in the past; but this is clearer and brighter.

The stair protectors work great so far, were easy to install and most importantly fit my stairs perfectly. Only downside is that they don't seem to adhere to regular carpet (carpet at top of stair well) all that well but since my stairs are Berber carpeted I'm good.

Didn't have to tack in place, stays by itself, Wished you could buy them individually vs. sets of two's. I needed 5 and had to order 3 sets. There wasn't any odor as some of the other customers mentioned. Very satified witht the product.

This will protect my stairs from heavey traffic dirt. I think you should only put down a few at a time due to the heavey plactic smell/

These protectors work great! So far haven't needed to tack them down. They are staying great by themselves. Feels like they give great traction for human feet/shoes. The dogs don't seem to like how the surface feels on their paws so they try to walk around them on the stairs. Overall very pleased with the product and the value for the price.
