I always have a pen & paper in the car in case I need them, but when I need them I can't find them because they could be anywhere in the car. Also, when I put my cellphone on the car seat it slids around. Now I have a place where I can find the things I need while I am driving.

I put it in a mug on my desk, and will take it with me in my friend's car when we head over-town! If I have to, I'll get one of those cheezy things for a cup that you put on the door!! (Gotta put yer coffee somewhere)

The CommuteMate gives me a nice slot to keep my cell phone and other doo-dads. The one I got looks slightly different than the picture. There is only one slot for a pen/pencil, where in the picture it looks like there are two. Sadly only one pen fits in the slot. There are two big slots where a cell phone or iPod will fit, and a small depression for, I assume, coins. It is made of foamy stuff, so it is lightweight.
