I use it also so my dog and cat can walk in and out to the deck with the door open if they want. the velcro is not good, but i took it and attached it with a pressure curtain rod and this worked great. This way I can still remove it if I need to.

As other reviewers noted, the velcro tabs just aren't enough to hold it up in the door frame so my husband screwed it in at the top. It worked pefectly - for a couple days. The magnets in the middle keep it together pretty well. We purchased mostly so our dogs can come in and out with the door open, but we forgot that our Sheltie freaks out over thunderstorms and on the first day of bad weather he shredded one side of it (from scratching at the door) and pulled it from the side of the door frame. Well, it now looks messy with the bottom corner shredded, but it still serves its main purpose for us - which was to allow the dogs access to come in and out AND keep the flies out. No it doesn't keep 100% of the bugs out but has significantly lowered the amount of time I'm running around the house with a flyswatter. :) For the price and usefulness of the product, I'm quite happy and would recommend to others.

I love this screen, it is instant. and totally useful as a summer doggie appartment patio door. and as the night screen on my front door on the appartment. It is portable, flexible, and professionally done, (nothing homemade about it's look) worth every penni and a really great unusual gift. (quick tip: reinforce the velcro with a tiny little nail and it is perfectly durable)
