Visiting our daughter and son-in-law in their new home was turning into a nightmare due to the broken down mattress that we were trying to sleep on in the guest bedroom. My husband said that we needed some sort of board under the mattress to provide better support. So off I went to do some internet hunting. I have a tempurpedic topper on an old, bad mattress. I bought two bed boards and put one under the topper and one under the mattress. Now I have a new bed that is as firm as I like it.
No need to move mattress off bed, so you don't need help. Just slide mattress a little, slip board in and slide mattress back. If you put it under a foam topper, just roll topper back a bit, slide board in and drop topper on it.
