I had a fan mounted up high and I always had to unplug it because I couldn't reach the controls. It is now plugged into the outlet and I can switch it off or on whenever I want.
It is great with electronics that stayed plugged in but don't need to be charging all the time.
The above query about outside use, now has me thinking how I can use it on the patio.

I was a little disapointed that there was no ground probe. but that was ok. I can rewire the setup I have to make it more safe. They do have a polarised plug tho.
