I use it mainly in reverse. I have Fibromyalgia and just can't get warm a lot of the time, especially my back so I put it on like a coat when I am working on my Computer. It keeps me toasty watm. Looks funny as all get out but that's okay.
You do have to be careful walking with it on but I do all the time.

The thing is nice and warm. HOWEVER, don't attempt to get up and walk with it on. I did and tripped and fell - hurting my shoulder and back. The length is such that when you stand up it ends up in a small pile on the floor in front of your feet. I only recommend this for laying on a couch (or in bed) and NOT WALKING!

It just wasn't what I expected - never make assumptions. It's a thin flannel blanket - not really wearable as portrayed - at least for me. I have purchased much much nicer down and alternate down throws for the same price. Which would you rather have???? It immediately picks up every animal hair piece of lint in the area, so it's not an easy thing to return....or else I would to be honest.
