I am a registered nurse and purchased this product for my husband. He had the older type with one storage unit. He had several in the kitchen for morning and several in the bedroom for evening. This is compact enough that he keeps it on the table by his recliner. With this dispenser he does not forget to take his medications. It is big enough for an Omega-3 capsule (if you combine two compartments). It may not be big enough for over 10 tablets per half. It is compact enough for traveling. It is perfect for my husband, though may not be for everyone.
